This weeks episode features two of the most dominant middleweight fighters in our area. To this day, the two are arguably the two best middleweights we have seen come out of New England, and on this day, in no better venue than a Full Force event, they met in the cage to settle, “Who is the best Middleweight in New England?”. Wrestlers, have for ever been a formidable force in the world of MMA. Winning world titles, going undefeated, and defeating the unbeatable in the case of Chris Weidman defeating Anderson Silva. Two of New England’s most elite wrestlers through high school and college the two ran through a pile of our best middleweights over 4 years yet 2 years apart. Lance Everson had begun his career under the direction on Mike Littlefield back in 2003. Fighting as an amateur back in the Mass Destruction events, Lance compiled a 5-1 record. His first pro bout was against UFC Veteran Tim Credeur where he lost via armbar. Lance proceeded to move to an 11-3 record over his next fourteen bouts with wins over, Jerry Speigel,Dave Vitkay, Dante Rivera, Mandela Kponou, Mark Stevens, and Jason Delucia.

Nate Kitteredge of Vergennes, VT was an outstanding wrestler know for his tenacity and aggressive approach. I heard stories of Kittredge from a roommate of mine before i even participated in MMA. The toughest SOB he had ever met. Vermont was never known for wrestling unless you went to Mount Anthony Union HS, a nationally ranked HS and second only to Timberlane Regional in New England for New England wrestling titles. Kittredge was a beast for Vergennes and later won the coveted NE title and went on to wrestle in college and later coach his HS alma mata.. Kittredge arrived on the scene albeit looking like he was from Vermont with the likes of his friend and teammate Glenn Brown. the pair looked grizzled and tough. both wearing full-grown beards and went by the name “The Green Mountain Boys (GMB)”. Kitteredge didnt wrestle and hump his opponents to death to play it safe and win decisions by keeping top control. Prior to fighting Everson, Kittredge was 5-1. winning 4 out of 5 via ref stoppage to strikes and his one decision to Jerry Spiegel in which he knocked Jerrys front tooth out to the front row. In his only loss, Kittredge was disqualified during a bout against Ronnie Wuest for an illegal elbow to the stomach of Wuest during a Featured bout for WCF in 2008.

April 12th 2008 FullForce “Untamed” provided their 20th event live from the Boxboro Holliday inn in which soon to be UFC veteran “Filthy” Tom Lawler vs Soon to be WSOF’s Travis Bartlet was deemed just a featured bout to the Main Event “Everson vs Kittredge” and future UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones was mearly and undercard bout.

Enjoy an awesome bout that some of us were able to be a part of!
