It’s always sure to rattle a few people when a top seeded fighter falls from the top of the list without actually losing to his predecessor, How about two of them? Make no mistake about it, it may not come as too much a shock to many as these two have more than paved their way to the top spot in New England.

At 135lbs. Dinis Paiva has taken complete control over the weight class. Leaving a wake of demolition behind him, Paiva has completely reinvented himself. Once a slick wrestler desperate to take a fight to the ground where he could feel most comfortable, the now Gracie Fitness fighter has dispatched of 4 top fighters in a row. Ever more impressive he has done it in mere minutes TOTAL! In six minutes and 49 seconds, Paiva took over the division. Thats 3 knock outs and one submission that resulted in a broken face. Paiva has the nod for #1.

In what may have been the single best performance of his life, may also steal this years award for “Performance of the year”. It what most thought was the “Twighlight of his career” Greg Rebello has found another gear recently. Following in the footsteps of Mark Dellagrotte and Mike Gresh, Rebello has become a sought after trainer to many of New England’s best fighters. Surrounding yourself with the game will never get you out of it. Having come out of retirement Rebello has made a home at heavyweight. Winning 3 of his last four, Rebello has only lost to Aaron Johnson who also holds a win over Brennan Ward in Bellator. Recently, Rebello dismantled Tyler King (9-2) and finished him via KO at CES live on AXS TV. Rebello looked fantastic, unbeatable in his last bout. 1. Dinis Paiva says:

Sweetbread is a bum….how about my man Jeff Haddad…would like to see him in the mix

    • Jeff Haddad says:

Dude, we are the king of bums. I’ll be up as soon as the doc clears me to come train and get extra bumly. Don’t expect Dinis to stick around long. With the run he is on, Uncle Dana will be trying to get a piece!

  2. Blair Tugman says:

    My record is 7-5

  3. Dan Bonnell says:

Jeff Haddad is a bum too.

In all seriousness Jeff is top ten caliber for sure if not top 5 in my opinion. He’s just returned after a long lay-off and beat an honorable mention so he will be recognized. We always forget a guy or two. I will add him to HM for now until the next set of rankings come out.

Hope to see Jeff fighting again soon. Don’t wait till next January Jeff!

  4. Peggy Morgan says:

You have Chuck O’Neil’s record wrong. He’s 15-7, not 15-8.

  5. Matt Doherty says:

My 2 losses are to UFC’s tek in a decision and now ranked #1.. I beat #5 and I don’t get my name in the mix of even HM lol.. I’m not even stressing just stating…
