Rick Hawn opens New Martial Arts Academy

pmaPlaistow, NH — Former world champion mixed martial artist and Olympian Judoka Rick Hawn is set to open the doors to his new martial arts academy later this week in his new home town of Plaistow, NH.

The MMA world champion and Judo Olympian recently retired from competitive MMA last year. Hawn has partnered with Several heavy hitters in the martial arts world in order to make his gym a destination for anyone seeking a gym complete of the major fighting arts from an experienced practitioner such as Hawn and his lineage.

The Judo Black belt will of course feature his first art that gained him world recognition with an Olympic birth in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games (Athens), Also holding a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) under BJJ World Champion Rafael Gordinho Lima and the Start BJJ Academy, Hawn will serve as a satellite school and offer both youth and adult Jiu Jitsu classes. Hawn has also partnered with Professor Tim Barchard of the Derry and Windham NH ProMMA academies as well as Kru Mark DellaGrotte and will serve as a Sityodtong affiliate offering Muay Thai Kickboxing classes as well as children’s Karate classes.
