for comment, Marotte stated: “I’m very pumped to be defending my title, even more than fighting for it cause its mine now and no ones going to take it. I know Taylor is a good fighter and he has a good skill set and I have nothing but respect for him as another fighter, but he’s in for one hell of a night. I dont slow down, I dont get tired, I dont quit and I hit hard. That being said, good luck to him but that title is coming back home with me.”

Costantino quipped back with “I feel this is a great fight for people to see what i bring to the table. If the division isnt already on notice, It will be after this fight![Brendan] is a tough kid and throws that right hand hard. but skill wise, i think he is far behind me in that facet. I will put him on his back foot, then impose my will. As the great Ivan Drago said ” If he dies, He Dies” “

Also announced, The co-main event will feature North Andover native Nuri Shakir (18-21), an informal celebrity of MMA in the local area will make his 40th appearance in the cage. Standing opposite of him, making his much antisipated return is undefeated Joe Cloutier (4-0) of Boston, MA. Cloutier returns after a 2-1/2 year lay-off from MMA. Taking a huge step up in competition against Shakir, Cloutier looks to jump right back into the mix of things in the welterweight rankings in New England.
